Catch A Sunrise
One advantage of the shorter daylight hours is that it’s so much easier to see the sunrise, and at this time of year they can be spectacular. To increase the chances of seeing those glorious colours it’s worth checking the weather forecast the night before. Ideally you will want high pressure in charge with only very light winds.
Cold but clear nights often bring spectacular starts to the day. Temperature inversions over open water are common under this conditions, and pillows of vapour can often be seen draped over valley floors.
Listen to the birdsong, enjoy the peace and tranquility, and take a few deep breaths in before launching to the busy tasks of the daily routine.
